Finally Home

My travel month is over.  I don't have to travel nearly as much as GZ, but I have had a couple of weeks in the last month where I've been gone for 6 days.  Now that is over, so I can get serious with training. 

I spent the last 3 days in Disneyland.  √Čven though I didn't train when I was there, I'm not sure carrying 35-50 pound kids and walking 5-7 miles a day on concrete is very restful.  Regardless, when I got back I had two really good workouts on Sunday and Monday:

Deadlift 265 x 5 x 1
135lb clean and jerk x 30 reps -- 12:55

Overhead squat 135 x 5 x 1
Front Squat 200 x 5 x 5
Airdyne AD6 10 min 30 sec on/30 sec off -- 152 calories


  1. I have found days at Disney to be ultras and ass kickers unto themselves. I really feel worked (in a different but very palatable way) post them.

    Work travel is 17% for me this year.

  2. 17% work travel, much of it international, is a killer. I don't know how you do it...

  3. Actually at 16% now. Not bad. Comes in waves. Kind of hard to bitch about it when it pays the bills and it is to places like Dublin, Bordeaux, and Boston.
